about me
I am father, husband, brother, thinker, scientist, nurse practitioner, leader, cycle breaker, entrepreneur, Neurodivergent. In thirty years I have been dishwasher, ditch digger, Sailor, janitor, grass cutter, door-to-door salesman, youth counselor, nurse, nurse practitioner, director of nursing, foreign service medical provider.
My perspective on neuro-inclusivity is informed by three distinct parts of my whole:
Nurse Practitioner: clinician, scientist, primary care provider.
Organizational Citizen: team member, supervisor, subject matter expert.
Neurodivergent: advocate, community leader, teacher.
As a practicing clinician, not only am I able to critically evaluate the latest research coming out of academia, I am able to translate that research into daily practice with my patients. I am able to discern real evidence generated by solid methodology apart from dodgy and faddish notions-of-the-moment. After three decades working at nearly every level of the organizational hierarchy in companies spanning private and public sectors from the most austere rural to the most extreme urban environments, I have accumulated a rare and unique depth and breadth of experience regarding organizational citizenship, stewardship, and performance. I have led presentations and trainings for everyone from the mailroom to the C Suite.
As a first voice of neurodivergence, I represent the Neurodivergent community in everything I do. I have both the opportunity and the responsibility to advocate tirelessly for the needs of the community and to be the bridge between the neurodivergent and the neurotypical.
I am the agent of change winning the hearts and minds of those driving policy at the highest levels.
